I think he will be a brilliant player for us, the last 20 minutes he was on, i thought he was brilliant,

[*]Determined[*]Enthusiastic[*]Footballing Brain[*]Holds it up well
Reminded me abit of Van Nistlerooy. Got that feeling he will be class for us.

Nice bullet points. Let's just hope he knows where the net is because in my opinion Richards has got three of those attributes. Didn't see the game myself, what was the other fella like?
The other fella ran about a lot In all the wrong directions. First game though, so miles too early to judge.
RE: The other fella ran about a lot Have you thought that maybe he got it right and it was the others who were running in the wrong direction?
Not only that ... ... he's so enthusiastic he's just been to ours & done the following:

[*]New fence[*]Two storey extension[*]Mowed lawn[*]Nailed Mrs Ponty[*]Paved the drive[*]Fixed the roof
All for one hundred of your pounds sterling.
Istvan is the man.

Got to admit what i saw of him saturday he looks a good signing lets hope davey starts with his mate up front with him and we start scoring goals again.
Without doubt. Number of times Mattis passed the ball to someone in red = 3. Number of times Istvan fetched the ball from the stands = 728. Istvan is very eager to please. I think he might be a cyborg ... a bit like Robocop - but with Adidas boots on. Or Terminator. I just hope Southampton don't have a liquid metal Hungarian player - 'cos I don't think there's any type of forge near to St Mary's.
He needs to pull his shorts down a bit though. Looks like a cross between a) Simon Cowell b) A pipe cleaner c) Mr Tickle.
RE: The other fella ran about a lot He ran about a lot, yes. In the wrong direction no. I watched his runs, he ran some great decoys and also into some good channels, but there clearly wasnt the understanding that resulted in him getting a pass. He was "hungary" for the ball and came deep to collect it at times too. If he strikes up an understanding with the midfield and his strike partner(s) I think he will be good. But Brian Howard must be aware of runners and not just try and do it all himself
