I think its the first time Ive read the oppositions manager talk us and our manager up before a game.. refreshing, and made me think of Darren in a better light http://theposh.cnm/runtime/peterborough/article?articleId=2534286 Shame I wont be going now and had to pass my ticket to a mate. Was offered overtime for tmra night and what with xmas etc, I cant afford to turn down time and half - a tenner an hour plus. And, it may go in my favor when redundancies come around next month.. gutted about the match though, but at least they allow me to go in an hour late for midweek games at home, such as Palace on tuesday.. swings and (stairfoot) roundabouts
Ferguson Predicting An Exciting Encounter Posted on: Thu 01 Dec 2011 Peterborough United boss Darren Ferguson believes this Saturday's npower Championship clash with Barnsley at London Road will be an 'exciting encounter' with both side's renowned for their passing style. The Posh boss was full of praise for the job that Tykes boss Keith Hill has done at Oakwell and insists they are one of the best 'footballing' sides in the division. 'I know Keith well and he has done a great job at Barnsley. He did a great job at Rochdale and could of gone elsewhere, but he has picked the right job and they have performed very well this season. 'Keith's sides always try and play the right way and I have no doubt that it will be an exciting encounter as both sides will get the ball down and play. 'They picked up a great win at Leeds last weekend and I am sure they will come here full of confidence. Our home form is key, I have said that before, and we are looking forward to the game,' Ferguson said. The Tykes are set to be without the suspended David Perkins, but Ferguson insists Danny Drinkwater is a very worthy replacement. 'Danny is on-loan from Manchester United and is a very good player. Barnsley have a similar squad size to us so when they have players missing it will hurt them, but they have a lot of talent in that squad.'
grow up : Sir Alex thinks kindly of us and we want to keep drinkwater : so keep it shut tomorrow please
Agreed Fergie's admitted he's had a soft spot for us in the past, we gave his brother a chance in football and we've had a fair few Man U loans help us out over the years. Really don't get that song.
Drinkwater will be playing tomorrow You'd have to be pretty ******* stupid to sing that song when we've got one of his players busting a gut for us out on the pitch. So expect it to go on for hours.
