Moyes fitting in perfectly. Taking to the new role, like a duck to water http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23710359
Unfortunately he doesn't have the years of winning trophies behind him so rather than mind games it looks more like whinging and getting his excuses in early.
You can just see the mentor sessions with Fergie and the Board "Okay David, welcome. You're at Manchester United now. We work slightly different to everyone else. Here's a list of ways you will need to whinge on a daily basis, until you get your own way"
I can't understand where he is coming from. Surely if you play more "harder" fixtures early in the campain you end up with "easier" fixtures later on. Sounds like he might not be too confident in facing the likes of Man C, Chelsea and Liverpool. He should just get on with it and let his team do the talking.
To be fair, they could be in the relegation spots with 4 points from the first 5 games (draw at Swansea, beating Palace, losing the others) which would lead to calls for his head...
will be really interesting to see what the reaction is, if they do struggle initially, under moyes. whether there will be calls for his head, or whether they will remind themselves how long it took to get success under ferguson
See what you are sayin mate but isn't that what football is all about? TBH I'd love your analogy to come true, then we would see what he is made of.
Exactly what I thought; however the fixtures come out you still have to play all teams twice. It seems a very strange thing to moan about to me. If his record at Everton against these clubs is anything to go by he should be worried.
