Why the hell would Preston want Ferenczi? Maybe as backup but if Nugent leaves I would think it would be a similar player coming in who could do the same job for a few million. Even Wolves, can’t really see why they would need him with what they have. I’m not playing down how good he is but just that quality of player those teams would be looking at would be players to get them promoted and even play a part if they go up. Must just be a case of a few rumours knocking about but if I was him I’d be thinking I’d made a mistake at the moment. With playing for a struggling team while seeing all these teams come to Oakwell with massive backing. Playing up front on your own with a team who refuse to play the ball on the floor must be a shock for him. Same with Rajczi would he choose to join us at the end of the season if he wanted to.
I would expect that with a 2 1/2 year contract he will stay for next season irrespective of division unless someone pays in excess of say 600k and I cant see it happening.
I agree. It's not like there will be a clause in his contract that says he can leave if someone offers therteh six pence, or summat. I think Istvan is Kenyan & we've been done over 'cos his real age is 82.
but i would expect that when getting a new player there would be no clause allowing him to leave after 5months, if player was insitant on a clause i would tell him he could have one that activates after a full season. and im sure the barnsley board wouldnt be so stupid as to let any player do that
