Better not post anything about Leicester's dodgy finances. Will only invite their fans on here bairning about how they do everything by the book and how whiter than white they are, like after we played them last year. Joking aside, this seems a bit dodgy to say the least.
Be gutted to see em relegated at the first attempt, and even more gutting would be us getting promoted seeing as though their fans told us we'd never play each other again. That's Leicester City and Barnsley FC, the two clubs who've spent more years in the second tier than any other. LOLeicester City.
Dave Richards ? Involved with dubious companies & activities ? If true I for one am shocked to my very core. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
“The club agreed its exciting international marketing and licensing partnership with Trestellar Limited in January 2014, following an extensive tender process to identify a party best-suited to extending its commercial reach worldwide" Fookin lol.
If they can prove this is an attempt to commit fraud and subvert league rules gaining an unfair advantage the Football League needs to man up and throw the book at them. Made me despise them even more than before.
Proving the fraud will be difficult but if they can then they really have no option but to take dramatic action.
On the face of it, it does look like Trestellar has been used to channel a huge amount of funds into the club, without an explanation why. Having said that, these billionaire football club owners didn't make their fortunes by being stupid, so maybe it's legit, who knows? Maybe the billionaires are always one step ahead of the football lawmakers, like the multi-national companies who's tax avoidance schemes are morally wrong but not illegal. In fact in both business & sport, the lawmakers are quite probably in cahoots with the mega-rich, putting in loopholes for them to exploit. Ah well, we'll all be dead soon enough and it won't matter
Seems legit to me... In all fairness, it's obviously a sham, but no worse than man city's owners sideswiping the rules by selling stadium rights to essentially themselves to legally pump more money in. I wouldnt mind a Thai billionaire owner prepared to pump funds in. I'm even prepared to set up my own company, Troffs international marketing ltd. for a reasonable cut I will agree to accept funds under the table to 'advance an agreed eight figure sum' for the international bfc image rights. Or summat.
Looks like it http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/manchester-city-set-400million-jackpot-4377857 Does make you wonder why Leicester didn't just up the sponsorship deal with King Power if that's the way Man City do it? Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha owns both King Power & Leicester City so maybe the rules prevent that direct sponsor investment? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vichai_Srivaddhanaprabha
When was the last time "dramatic action" was taken? I guess when Swindon were relegated two divisions for financial irregularities. The norm now seems to be a points deduction of an arbitary amount. As Luton fans can vouch for.
