    The game's sold out so we get lots of money.

    This, with the monies from the TV and the Liverpool game, means we can make more permanent inprovements to the squad. We're gradually and prudently chipping away at our problems and, more and more, it looks like we're in safe hands.</p>

    It was, in one way, wrong to place ST holders WAGs ahead of regular supporters but the game's on the telly and ensuring the sell-out was more important. Not sure if I subscribe to that last bit but it's a positive angle, silver lining etc.</p>
