Fickledom of some footy fans baffles me

92 clubs in the professional football structure. Now the vast majority of clubs are in their 'proper' position. 'Big clubs' at the upper end and the 'smaller clubs' nearer the bottom end. Obviously there's blips in this analogy but you get my drift. Coming usually with the aforementioned pecking order aligns finances and spending power. Like I said usually but there are exceptions.

So I'll cut to my baffleness when it comes to transfers. I've 2 examples of why this causes me confusion. Ps names used in CAPITALS are examples and you could in BFCs case replace them on multiple cases and I hope the point still stands or makes sense.

(A) "I can't believe ROBERTS has gone to BIRMINGHAM. He's only interested in his bank balance. Don't think he's good enough to play in the Prem if they go up. Should have stayed with us"

(B) "That JOSEPH from WIGAN looks like he could be a good signing. Looks like we can pay him 7x his wages."

So in a nutshell and perhaps I ought to stay off social media tbf. Some fick cnunts think it's ok for us to poach or sign players from lower leagues like BRITTAIN, STYLES etc and that ok as were above their former clubs in the 'pecking order'.......... but when ours leave for pastures new no matter what the reason then it's a **** show.

Have you evidence of the same person holding that one opinion or are you just using a mass generalisation to abuse people you’ve decided aren’t very clever?

 

As far as I'm aware been fickle has no baring on people's general level of intelligence. If it was just one person's view I'd have probably questioned them on a one to one basis. As there's multiple people in my experience who reflect my two examples and you haven't witnessed them before I suggest you refrain from frequenting such sites as Tykes Talk etc.

As an aside you can also be intelligent and fick. Believe me I've married them, fathered one and employed loads.

Well you're classed as one so it can't possibly be true.

Possibly they've gleaned it from people's unintelligent or maybe attempts at cleverness that don't become certain individuals. I've no idea myself. I'm a full on certified dingle. Ask someone else for an explanation.

I think it's just a simple case of people wanted the best for their own club and don't like our best players leaving. I don't think people are "fick" at all. In fact, especially on here, there are some very intelligent people.

 

I never said it was mass. Out of our 12-13k regular attendees at Oakwell and the exiled Reds and those who no longer go its probably a small but vocal minority (who knows hey!).

Perhaps the stupidity lies elsewhere? Like you I'll comment on what I read people post. Oh and have an opinion.

I like the word "fickle". The German word "Fick" can be translated into English simply by replacing the "i" with a "u". That explains why "fickle" leads to a giggle.
