    from today's Daily Mirror - shows how significant (or otherwise) they really are.

    ENGLAND have been overtaken by the United States in the Fifa world rankings.

    They have dropped to eighth while the USA have risen to sixth, their highest ever placing.

    The Americans lost 2-1 to England in a friendly earlier this summer.

    But they have risen four places in the rankings after reaching the final of the CONCACAF Gold Cup. They face Honduras in the final tomorrow.
