    Following on from the favourite films thread, what if any, would you all say were good sequels. As good as or maybe even better than the original ?.
    To name a few here, I thought the sequels to Rocky, Halloween, First blood, Raiders of the lost ark, and Star wars were all good enough, certainly no worse than the original.
    But my favourite sequels which I think were better, were Superman 2, Lethal weapon 2, White noise 2, and definitely The Terminator 2. :)

    Well, the obvious one is Godfather Part 2. I also really like the following, in no particular order…apart from The Dark Knight being the best:

    The Dark Knight
    Aliens
    Mad Max 2, and Mad Max: Fury Road
    Blade Runner 2049
    Doctor Sleep (sequel to The Shining)
    Deadpool 2
    Evil Dead 2
    Jurassic Park 2 (I sometimes feel I’m on my own with this one!)
    Psycho 2
    Paddington 2 (the first one was very good, but the sequel is brilliant)
    Toy Story 3
    The John Wick sequels

    Apart from The Dark Knight, which is possibly the best film ever made (the Nolan trilogy is all round quality), I think the M. Night Shyamalan, Unbreakable trilogy is top notch - Unbreakable, Split, then Glass.

    The first 4 Rocky films too.

    Wow Sicario ehh, with a chilling and almost psychotic performance by Benicio Del Toro.
    Btw I forgot to mention Police academy 2 lol, which was also a good natural follow on to the original story... Their first assignment. :rolleyes:

    Btw Gordon, I'm glad you mentioned the two Paddington films lol. I think these are just wonderful sit back and relax type films, and you can enjoy them with a few beers and some chips. :)
    And that makes me think of Short circuit 1 & 2 as well lol.

    1 Godfather 2 ( no surprise)
    2 Empire Strikes Back
    3 Terminator 2
    4 Wayne's World 2 ( not for me!)
    5 Dark knight

    Can't argue with 4 of those to be fair
