    Agreed...

Everytime I watch Rooneys I can't help but think it's a fluke. And the Messi one is just a few kick ups - it's not even his personal best goal of the year I don't think.

How Neymar takes on the last defender is just a joy to watch. I think I must have skipped back at least 10 times.

A fluke?!!!!!!! What are you on?! I think Rooney is over-rated but that was not a fluke!!

Hard to call, all amazing goals. In some ways I would say Messi's as he had time to think about what he was doing. Genius.

It comes off his shin. Since when did you intentionally hit the ball with the shin? No doubt he went for it, but he didn't go for it to come off his shin. I'm not sure how you can argue there wasn't at least a bit of luck involved in the finish.

I agree about Messi's goal, but the speed Neymar goes at for his is just amazing. I'm not sure whether it's more impressive that Messi had the time to think things through, or that Neymar didn't.

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.
    Re: Agreed...

The way he shapes his body and exectues the technique is brilliant, but as stated in other threads, he shins it. He hits that with his foot and who knows where it'd end up?

Rooney's shouldn't even be nominated, he shinned it.

Neymar for me, then Messi, then Rooney.

Unbelievable skill. All great goals but I agree with the others who said there was an element of luck with Rooney.

    Re: Agreed...

Brian Howard vs. Cardiff in '06 was better than that and it never got goal of the year...

Neymar's is absolute quality, i voted for that.
