There's actually more daylight between Barnsley and Birmingham than when I last posted it on 3 March.

Someone will get a couple of wins though and blow the historic ppg for the last 8 out of the water. I have 2 problems with your table
    - First I cant see where we are getting 6 points from - a win and 3 draws - where is the win?
    - second I dont think 39 points will be enough. one of the bottom 3 will get to 40 points I am sure. Has anyone actually stayed up with less than 40 points since we went to 3 points for a win

I suppose you’ve got to look at Bolton at home for the win? Brentford, Sheff U at home as draws and then another draw away from home. Although, at this rate I can’t really see us winning any game. Could change I suppose.

I agree that 39 points wouldn’t be enough though. I’m thinking more 42+.

Maybe we should play with 10 defenders and go for 8 0-0 draws :)

Using the latest form is the nearest you are going to get to predicting the final outcome. The actual positions haven't changed since the last one I did on 3 March.

No-one has survived with 39 points since the second tier went to 46 games in 1988/89. I can't remember a season when the bottom four teams have consistently lost week after week though.

Birmingham are the big problem for this.

We'll find out on Easter Saturday if Birmingham's 3-0 win against Hull, is as big a flash in the pan as our 2-0 win at St Andrews was.
