Final league position

Where do you think we'll finish in the league table.

Not particularly optimistic however I do think there will be worse sides than ours in the league this season.

It's really a back door into another re-hearing of the happy clappers v doom mongers debate, isn't it?

I hope that if we can get the French (Senegalese) lad and a couple more, Hecky might be able to blend them into a side that levels out just below mid-table by January. Then we can get £5M from Swansea for Thiam and struggle on to a 20th place finish by season's end. If it looks more grim at Christmas I'd hope the example of the promotion season will mean that the Board fork out to bring in a few older heads to steady the ship. Either way, it's gonna be a tough one!

 

Many fans of other clubs on twitter seem to either reckon we'll go down rock bottom or finish 18th. Me personally, I reckon 20th is where we'll end up. Long hard season were in for but I feel we have enough to stay up!

I've no idea to be honest.
I'm not feeling confident currently, we need someone to score goals as witnessed in latter part of last season .
I'll go for survival....just.

 

Difficult to say until we see how we perform in January. Another pathetic amateurish collapse at the sight of a few poud coins and we'll probably end up back in League One. Hopefully we'll show some backbone and show ourselves to be the professional football club we should.

Can't see us repeating our 9 away wins of last season, so if our home form doesn't improve then I fear the worst.

I struggle to see where the goals are coming from. Last season we may have worried how we would get on but I always knew the side had goals in it.

I think goals will be a problem at each end so it will come down to how much feight there is in the team

I'll go for 21st which might be a blessing as we'd presumably not be looking at another exodus and more rebuilding for the 18/19 season which might stand us in better stead.

No idea. The squads not finished, so til the end of August arrives, i'll go from somewhere between 1st and 24th.

 

Not at all. I like to look back on threads like these at the end of the season. I thought I'd hit it bang on the money last season and it turns out I predicted us to finish a few places lower.

 

Just been talking to a Rotherham fan and he reminded me of the discussions he and I were having this time last year. Our pre-season this time has been eerily similar to theirs last year. I suspect that the outcome will be much the same.

 

And there lies the answer the appropriate word being should.
