Played them off the park first half, shut up shop and stopped them playing in the second. I can't remember the last time we looked so solid defending a lead. We restricted them to very few chances, the only blot on the copy book being a wonder strike by Brunt and even then our 'keeper may feel disappointed he wasn't better positioned. Macken won the man of the match and he was superb, but so was Shotton at right back, while Hammil tore them apart first half. And we were very combative in central midfield with Colace and Doyle. Well played reds, thoroughly deserved victory and a great way to bounce back from the defeat at the weekend.
