Matter of time until it gets around to Scowen. A lot of posters on here need to have a long hard look in the mirror. Is your life really so perfect that you can dissect every player to an inch of his life, just because you pay a few quid to watch them perform. Fecking grow up.
Criticism is warranted after today. To be fair we've been poor most of the season so fans are going to be critical but I haven't seen anything personal posted on here.
Pathetic post. Has nothing to do with the game at all. Seeks to justify nothing , nor does it decry anything either. Just concerns itself with a perceived prejudice to suit it's own purposes. Pathetic post.
Most of the threads and posts I've read are critical of the manager, not players individually so much. But nobody covered themselves in glory today. If you don't think a football bulletin board is the right place to voice an opinion on the performance of the team, then where do you suggest? Or is this the Barnsley 100% blinkered, only positive observations please board? Scowen has been our best player this season. Tireless energy and effort in the main. He was absolute gash today. He's entitled to an off day. No criticism to him other than an observation he was ***** today. Problem is nobody else can step up. I'm not going to criticise players when they're playing out of position or in formations in which they aren't suited or all that comfortable with. I've read lj's post match comments. Not one mention of his own shortcomings, apparently we played well and there was only us looking to win second half. And that he saw things from the players that he will stamp out as he won't tolerate it. I can only assume those things were midfield runners going forward, or people trying to pass forwards. Scandalous. Johnson has decided how his team will lineup. Only he hasn't brought the players in to fill the positions correctly. Call me daft but I thought it might be better to draft your tactics and pick your formation based on the players at your disposal. Rather than arrogantly stick to one formation which doesn't work and play square pegs all round the park. He is a young green manager. Lots to learn. He might be brilliant in the future but he needs to learn to adapt, and learn a little humility too. The best managers are never afraid to admit when they've got it wrong, except mr wenger I guess. Mr Johnson gives sound bites worryingly similar to Keith hill for my liking. Accent aside.
