morning all, new Brazil shirt for Xmas, worn to 3 home match since, now P3 L3

havent been down since the Preston match and I havent read what everyone else has said about yesterday but this is my 2p's worth.

first - acknowledgement to Norwich, they did a real number on us, ably assisted by some critically questionable referee/linesman decisions and some dodgy decision making by Colgan. Huckerby's goal was sublime but the ball should have been out for a throw in before he got to it. I know he's quick but time stood still as Colgan went through a shall I shant I clear it debate

its a pity we gave them a 3 goal start because after that it was a good game and although the scoreline looks as though we got stuffed, yesterday for the first time in a long time, we looked like a decent team, and everybody was up for it. The Hungarians look as though they enjoy playing football and that may be spreading throughout the rest of the team

Nyatanga - what a class act, and he was noticeably good and that has upped the game of the rest of the back four. With something resembling a strike force, the effort going forward often resulted in something happening, and despite the scoreline, yesterday certainly wasnt a stroll in the park for their midfield and defence. McCann was the motm but I thats the best I have seen from Togwell.

hats off to Norwich, at the start of the second half when we were building up a head of steam they did enough to quieten things down but the thing that impressed me was the effort and commitment right up to the final whistle. I enjoyed it and providing I stay in denial about the result, it was a good match to watch. For me, more positives than negatives

Its a pity it is Sunderland next week because the team confidence may be fragile and we dont want to get used to losing again

now I will see what everyone else thought

    yep - as I thought

having read the other comments I was clearly at a different Oakwell to everyone else

odd really because I used to know where it was - I must step into a parallel universe after a couple of beers

    Agree 100%

I think the fact that there wasn't any booing at the end shows that most people felt they were hard done by (albeit that we all knew that they had thrown an early three goal lead at the visitors, in such an important game).

I agree that strikers that look like they might finish work wonders on incentivising positive play throughout the team. Ferenczi looks superb, hope they both keep it up for the rest of the season.

For me pick the same side against Sunderland, possibly starting Kyel Reid ahead of Devaney (just to see what happens) and we might well give them a run for their money. We have to really, we can't rely on other teams' results every week.

Well i shall stick my neck out and predict what would happen if Kyel Reid started. He would be afraid of taking people on, do some shocking passes, and look knackered after ten minutes.

RE: the more things change, the more they stay the same

Did you notice that when Norwich were attacking us on the break, how Reid was usually playing Norwich on-side by being 4 yards further back that the rest of our back line?

Stoke aside, when did our back four last play as one unit?
