After watching the Reds against Everton on Sky I was impressed. Owing to change in circumstances I went to the game today for first time in 12 months. It took a while to identify the players and I settled down to watch this good team of ours. I think there is potential there with these young lads but today they were Mellonised by a manager who got his team playing well. In the second half we never looked like getting anything out of it. My opinion is having watched the Reds over many years Lee Johnson puzzled me with his tactics and formation. Nyatanga is not a left back. Winnall has no chance alone up front, ( playing at home) Hourihane has a good shot but his distribution and decision making is poor. I am not impressed with Johnson and he is no better than the other managers we have sacked. Micky Mellon reorganised for the second half and we were left second best. As of now I am not sure I want to spend my money on going to Oakwell but will watch with interest if Lee Johnson can Walk the Walk, he certainly can Talk the Talk.
We must have one of the best if not the best squads in the division. How Barnsley it is that we are losing to teams like Shrewsbury, Rochdale and no doubt more teams surviving on a pittance to come. Deeply, deeply frustrating.
