Through circumstances I have not been to Oakwell since LJ took over. Last night was the first time I had watched them and I did it on sky. Having put faces to names I sat down with the thought that Everton will Avalanche us. If I had not known which team was which I would have thought Everon were playing in red shirts. I have watched Barnsley for years both home and away, but last night I saw a talented young team whose brand of football is magic. The term is Just like watching Brazil. Premier teams give a little more space to play and we revelled in it. If fatigue had not set in we would have won that match last night, but ET did us. If we play anything like that in the next few months we will go up. One minus was that Wilkinson is not good enough for out team, his performance from coming on was inept. He does not really look as though he wants a ball and just floated up and down with no input to the game In the next two weeks my circumstances alter and I will definitely be at Oakwell.
I agree exactly what you said about Wilkinson. Winnall won almost every header until he was replaced by Wilkinson. I have not yet seen Wilkinson have a good game. For his size he ought to be able to challenge for the headers better than he does. I think last night if Winnall had stayed on we might have got a couple more goals. Poor tactics on LJs part.
