Reading winning 2-0 and Hudders 0-0. Hopefully Huddersfield lose and it'll be four. Five is a big gap. Could be down by Christmas
We need 15 more points (5 wins) to better the Millers record low points total of 23. I would be utterly ashamed if we cannot get more than 23 points from 46 league matches.
At this stage of the season its almost irrelevant -Come Easter if we arent 40 points or above the chances are we are down at the moment if by some miracle we can get 6 points out of the next 3 games we will be right back in touch
Good god. There is pessimism and there is being suicidal. Some years ago I remember Millwall being 2nd on Boxing day and ended up being relegated. Things change dramatically in 5-6 games in football. If the players had your mentality we'd never get another point this season. Last night on 72 minutes half of my row in the East stand left, look what happened in the remainder of the game. I suspect all those posting 'doom and gloom' on here probably left early as well. Please don't post back with 'I'm not a pessimist, I'm a realist' because you are pessimists. As it says in Matthew 7 - 15 “Watch out for false prophets". We have 31 league games left that's 93 points up for grabs.
Those prophets were real and every penny was reinvested back into the club, I have you know. (No offence intended!)
We've got another ten games at the earliest before we can try and sort this mess out in the next transfer window. Our last three away games are a local derby in between two games against clubs getting new grounds. No amount of optimism can hide the trouble we are in. With every match played the points per game average we need to beat the drop, keeps sneaking up.
Not bad, Luton, Wigan & Middlesbro' beaten. Reading & Huddersfield wins. Seems like Cowleys are turning the corner there.
Several other clubs dropping down towards us after today's results. There will be teams to target if we're to stay up, but whether we'll get enough wins to take advantage is another matter. I'm really looking forward to the Stoke game now. Hopefully we won't kick start their season.
We're not down until we're down. Stoke is a key match but there will be other key matches, other teams in difficulties etc etc. It was great last season going to matches realistically expecting wins and to not see a defeat at Oakwell. Tbf we've not lost in 3 matches at home and that is something for the lads to cling onto.
Whilst accepting this is a football forum and everyone has a right to an opinion. My opinion is that , that is a load of defeatist bo.llox But we do need to get a managerial decision asap
Luton are in freefall. Lost four of last five. Huddersfield are top of the form table for last seven games.
