Less if you sit in the East Stand. If you don't want to pay it - don't go. Simple as that. I'm willing to bet a fiver that the same people moaning about it will be the same ones moaning if we don't strengthen in January.
4.7 Tickets for cup competitions ...... are no higher than for League matches if you dont mean it, dont publish it
I will be going but if they didnt mean it why publish atricle 4..7 Tickets for cup competitions. Andi have never stated that I wont be going nor Unlike Alan Bloor have I encouraged anyone else not to go (with the intentions of going my self)
Surprisingly, I tend to agree You know my views on the ticket price. But I agree with you there's no point in publishing a charter if the club can't stick to it, so I think that charter probably needs to be reviewed. It is clear that in situations like this, the price has to be agreed between both clubs according to league rules, which obviously override those in the charter. Like others have said, the price of £25 had to be agreed with Man U, so we've no way of knowing what price Barnsley would have charged if the decision was theirs alone.
How does it override the charter? 4.7 Tickets for cup competitions are usually priced in agreement with the opposing Club, but are no higher than for League matches. looks pretty conclusive to me.
It does appear conclusive, I agree My point is I think it's the charter that's wrong, not the ticket price. There will (I sincerely hope!) be other matches where a similar situation applies, like if we have a good FA cup run and/or get to the play-offs. What if there is a conflict between the opposing club's charter and ours? I think the ticket price of £25 is on the low side and no-one can change that view. I respect you and others who disagree though.
The very fact I am thinking of not going based on the price and there's no way on earth I'm forking out 15 quid for the young un would suggest its too expensive.
RE: I will be going I can see where you're coming from, but I just can't see that the price itself is wrong (maybe the publication is). BFC are entitled to use these "rare" opportunities to make a little bit of extra cash in my opinion. I'd rather them do this than put ST prices up £30 a year for example.
Is this charter on the official site? Do you have a link? Must admit until tonight I had never heard of it.
a previous chairman once said words to the effect that that would exploiting the fans who desrves to be a games like this
why is it no1 moaned over 25quid other season vs chelsea but are this set of morngy sods whos not even bothered bout barnsley just somet to moan over
RE: but more expensive that ours But to be fair to the club they LOWER the price more often than they RAISE it? I just think that the club cannot do right for doing wrong.
