Looking at our fixtures this month this really is make or break. Of the 6 league games we really should win the vast majority of them. I'm sure we could get 4 wins and 2 draws at the least from those games.

    August Fixtures:

    Sat 6 Swindon Town H
    Tue 9 Scnuthorpe United A
    Sat 13 Colchester A
    Sat 20 Yeovil Town H
    Sat 27 Brentford H
    Mon 29 Swansea City A

The two games there that could cause problems are the Swindon and Brentford games. Swindon have always been our nemesis but at least they don't have Sam Parkin anymore and Brentford are just a good outfit. The others we should win comfortably but these two could be scoring draws.

If we get off to a good start, we could be in with a chance..

a good start is usually needed to have any chance of doing owt

    I had

Brentford at home and Colchester or Swansea away as the draws.

Swindon have lost too many players to be as good as last season. I think we'll win 2-1 saturday.

    Swansea

I can't see them turning us over, even at The Vetch. They have Lee Trundle but he's clumsy and not as fast as everyone thinks he is. I saw Swansea a few times last season and I am comvinced that we are a far better team than they are.

I for one am happy Parkin has left Swindon, but trouble is they got two more strikers in Thorpe and Cureton who can and will cause our defence big problems on Saturday.
    Here's hoping Im wrong!!!!

Cureton? Is that the same one that was knocking them in for fun at Bristol City not so long ago?

Not as daft as it sounds..

They were hanging out for a sponsor, but that didnt materialise, and rather than give it name that would stick i.e Valley Parade (who actually calls it the Bradford and Bingley Stadium)they thought it would better giving it non de-script name which that hope of selling the name rights at a later date

Cureton has been poor recently, did nothing at Oakwell last season.
