Fjortoft found a replacement goalkeeper yet?

Will we have to wait until November and the end of Muller's contract? Surely they would rather get rid now and have a fee for him. Got a feeling something could go wrong with this deal, has he signed anything official with us saying that he's joining? Heard he's apparantly agreed personal terms and they have accepted an increased offer from us but got that feeling another club will sneak in for him at the 11th hour.

    Fjørtoft is an arse!

He's playing the "i'm a director now" game.

Stop being difficult and let us have Müller.

Really ought to get him on a pre-contract, and just wait until November and get him for nowt, rather than pay £125-£250k now. Seems logical to me.

what I cannot understand is , we can have him free in a couple of months anyway, so

Jan Age may end up with bugger al, great business man there. He obviously looked up To JD when he was here.

    Spot on

Fjørtoft is no business man. He's a retired lazy and greedy centre forward who never really made it!

    That would make sense.....

....it's not like we're in absolute dire need of a 'keeper.

    RE: That would make sense.....

I have to disagree on 2 counts with some of the previous comments. JAG was an excellent centre forward - almost in the Gary Linekar goalpocoacher mould. Yes he was neither the most athletic looking of players or an all action style player either - but I bet there is not many of us who wouldn't want such a player like him playing up front for us now. His goals per game ratio stands up with the best.

According to Lars Leese book he is - for a footballer at least intelligent and also opinionated. I persoanlly don't think he is a fool and it's clear what he is doing. He now knows Muller wants to leave. However, he also knows that we haven't agreed a fee yet. So unless we come up with silly money - which is unlikely - he is merely putting Muller in the shop window for another club to out bid us and sign him................sadly, I can see this latter scenario happening over the next few weeks.

According To Jan, Heinz as already signed a pre contract with us to join in November and all the talk is to try and agree to a fee so it happens sooner.
