After listening to Alan from Castleford on radio Sheffield last night a pattern in his comments came through. When Simon Davey took over his calls always started with "I didn't want him in the first place he wasn't my choice" He did the same with Mark Robin and now doe's it with Keith Hill. That says to me that his mind is already made up regarding these managers. So can he give an unbiased opinion or is his mind poisoned to the fact they weren't his choice and will never be acceptable to him.
iv no idea who alan from castleford is but that sounds a very "barnsley" thing to say imo, stating his opinion, without compromise and getting the hump if anyone disagrees with it.
That's quite an astute observation. I've never really considered it in those terms before: how many people who pride themselves on "saying what they think" take umbrage when others do the same.
I had to laugh on Saturday when Wiseman (who by the way is not one of Alans favs)made a fantastic last ditch tackle and a bloke behind us shouted "did tha see that Alan from Castleford" His fame or infamy goes before him.
There one bloke that calls up - cant remember his name. And all he does is read out whats in the papers and on the BBS and regurgitates everything we already know. He dunt have bore me to tears.
I'm very critical of Wiseman overall, but you have to give credit where it's due,he made two excellent tackles at Hull.
