Flicker, Mellon & Scott are presumably here till the end of the season and then the Don/Patrick will decide whether to keep them on or not and how much to offer depending on what division we're in.

I reckon the majority of fans have seen enough this past 3 months for that decision to be made now. The players will run through a brick wall for this management team and they're getting total commitment every single game from the 11 on the field and the subs. I'd offer them a two year contract now irrespective of whether we go down or not - they've made us enough money from the Cup run alone to pay for their salaries. Even if we do went down, I'm confident that these guys would get us back up at the first attempt - they're that good. It's a long time since we saw commitment like this from every single player and that's down to the motivational skills of Flicker.

I can see Flicker et al being poached away from us if we leave it too late.

paul walker posted on twitter the other day that both parties had agreed not to discuss anything until the end of the season.

so i cant see flicker doing a runner at the moment, but at the end of season i think that will be the first thing that is done.either release him and the management team of offer him the job full time.

Don't follow owt on Twitter so thanks for that. Seems to be the policy these days, closing the stable door after the horse has bolted.

    Don't rock the boat.

Seems both parties are happy that way so lets get the job done.

i think the club and flicker have there heads screwed on right.

personally i think he will get the job regardless, i think the only discussion will be wages if we go down he will be on less than if we stay up.

If we went down and key players left they might not want to be tied to club when likes of Dawson, Perkins, Steele, strikers could be off

Regarding wages we were prepared to give a manager with a poor record (in English football) the best deal in the history of the club so we need to remember this when offering a contract to a man who, so far, is the best manager we've ever had.
