Best interview I've heard from in that. He sounds a hell of a lot calmer than I feel. When Flicker first got the job, his interviews were a bit like Keith's: lots of riddles and metaphors. Not surprising really, Keith had been his mentor and his best mate for years. He was saying different things to Keith, but he adopted a Keith style. Now he's much more straight talking, he's developed a style of his own and he's much more relaxed. He spoke a lot in that interview about doing it for the fans, but I hope we do it for Flicker, it's his hard work that has got us in to this position. There's never been a manager who deserves success more than he does.
He speaks like an assassin going out to do a job there. Assured, calm, focussed. Means business. Which means we'll get tonked, relegated and drop deep into oblivion, but ne'er mind.
Even the missus thinks he comes across really well when she sees his interviews on telly, she says he seems a really nice guy who believes in the club.
I've noticed that too, well said. Loved the last bit, directly to the supporters. Damn near brought a tear to my eye, that.
20,000 barrier got cracked this afternoon so gonna be a belting atmosphere. With tickets on sale till 5pm tomorrow they might break 21k but 22k would be too much.
