Interesting interview with Flicker after the Middlesbrough game, in which he states that he's put out fires at the club above him, below him and in the Academy!! He says he wants everyone to be on the same page in order for BFC to be successful. Sounds as though Flicker is very good on the politics front too. Here's a transcript of the relevant part of the interview (in case you haven't got Barnsley Player): 'This team were not playing badly, I will speak about that to anyone. Under Keith Hill this Club were playing well and he has put together a fantastic group of players. The fights have stopped and I have put a lot of fires out throughout, I have had to do because I want a cohesive club, I want everyone on the same page. We are playing more forceful and asking teams to defend more. Keith Hill has recruited some incredible players who are now playing to their optimum'. Some bits have been missed out, such as "Fires above me, fires below me, fires in the Academy". Well done, Flicker, whatever the fires were! You are learning very quickly!

Don't agree with him re comments saying that we had always been playing well under Hill. We weren't. The turn around under Flicker has been nothing short of remarkable. As Golbourne said in his post-match interview, the tempo is so much better and therefore much different to how we were playing before.
Yes but who lit em in the first place?[/QUOTE] Very good question, Tosh! BUT - if the fires are now out, does it really matter? The main point is that the fires have been extinguished! I agree with you, Zemaj, re Keith Hill, but that is not the point of my post.
