Flicker is truly a natural and awesome leader.

Listening his interviews, it is easy to see why the players are "running through brick walls" for him.

    He has re-united BFC.

He is very inspirational; he'd be a real leader in the trenches.

"I don't do people who come to work to be average - I do people who come to work to achieve, whoever that person is."

Must be an incredible guy to work for!

He is definitely a born leader.. Great at rallying the troops! & he just realised that's what Barnsley are about and always have been; high pressing, tough tackling, closing early, quick tempo counter attacking team.

We're not Barcelona or Arsenal; but neither Stoke or West Ham, somewhere inbetween.

We close early, press high up the field and when we win possession we get the ball forward quick; not with one hoof ball over the top but not with 30+ passes either! & i for one am not only loving the effort and commitment but also enjoying the football being played too!

Couldn't have put it any better myself.

If a manager can understand the psyche of the fans as early as possible and then align his tactics/team to this psyche, then you always stand a good chance of keeping on the right side of the fans.

    Flicker has done this superbly.

All of that (maybe minus the "somewhere between west ham and Barcelona")

Ha! thanks!... I didn't mean somewhere in-between those teams in terms of quality but in terms of style and play: West Ham more or less play hoof ball (they do get it down on occasions) but they like to smash it up, hit Cole/Carroll and let the midfield flood forward. Whereas Barca are more concerned about keeping possession, they don't really look to play forward & attack until the opportune moment.

And Barnsley play the kind of football in-between.

I was sat in the posh seatz yeasterday and the roar Dave got at full time was awesome, made all the Boro turn round.

I'm already thinking next season could be a serious campaign.

Efficient is the word id use. We use the ball sparingly and try to get it forward as quickly and effectively as possible.

We get the ball to the likes of Dagnall, O'Brien and Perkins quicker, the players who are looking to create.

As a result, we're taking the pressure off of our back line, and creating more opportunities to score.

    Efficient

And at the moment, its working.

All of a sudden, the games ahead of us are games we can get results from. We're not scratching our heads thinking where the next win will come. Confidence in the dressing room must be incredible right now. That said, it's what's ahead of us now, and the next 3 games are mahooooosive
