Players respect him, he knows what we need and tell him the jobs his to lose if he can keep us up. We need a manager in place sharpish otherwise we are gonna miss the boat transfer window wise. A new man will not know our current squad so we will end up with more haphazard recruitment. Giving it to an inexperienced guy like higgy at this stage would just be a panic recruitment.
I'm not sure about this missing the boat in the window - we were always only going to be after loans anyway, the window stays open for a good month or so after January so there's no real panic.
Re: And a humble apology for pi$$ing him about How do you know they've pissed him about? He might have been fully aware of the situation prior to talks with Butcher taking place? Last interview I read, Flicker hadn't even applied for it, but said he would do the job as long as he was asked to?
If we can't get our main targets, I think Flicker until the end of the season would be alright, in stead of appointing a new permanent manager just for the sake of it. It might be easier to get the right man in during the close season as well, as we then know which division we're playing in. A win against Leeds on Saturday, and I would go for Flicker until this summer.
Based on this mate: http://v2.barnsleyfc.org.uk/showthread.php?181642-interesting-interview-with-Dawson&highlight=dawson doesnt know whether he's coming or going.
If Hill gets fixed up elsewhere, Flitcroft will be gone if he's on temporary terms hence the need for a permanent contract.
Re: Based on this mate: I saw that, but took it with a pinch of salt. What I took from that interview was more why the **** is Dawson trying to inspire the opposition by saying the players and coach aren't focused (double bluff maybe? Scum turn up expecting to roll us over). Or, why is Flitcroft letting the players realise his head is meshed - if he wants to prove to the board he wants the job, he should be 100% professional. He is getting paid afterall. I personally think that whole interview is mind game tactics for the opposition. 4-0 Reds on Saturday ......
Re: Based on this mate: Think it was a Dawson one that somebody quoted? Said the players needed a manager in and that Flicker didn't know whether he was coming or going. #fergieesquemindgamesfromflicker
When speaking to Pauline Walker, Don said that Sidekick was fully in the loop, and found it strange that Sidekick had suggested otherwise. Not a chance of him getting the job, thank ****.
100% right fans will keep staying away still can,t forgive him for ststing Wiseman is the best c/h in championship would bet now he and Kennedy are included in squad for leeds
exactly this. flicker may be a decent guy but he has been a major part of the problem for the last 12 months. to those who are saying keep him... il ask why not just keep KH
