Luke Steele has needed competition for a long time. So why the hell do we have alnwick stealing a wage??

 

Alnwick would struggle to provide competition in the juniors. Unless the competition was to see who had the weakest wrists and poorest decision making ability.

 

So Steele is the scapegoat now is he? Incidentally, didn't Flitcroft make him captain?

 

So he has some competition for twenty eight days or is that a hint that a long term keeper is now top of the wish list?

 

Thr Pollitt signing is baffling.

 

In the history of football we must be the only club with 3 goalkeepers that signs 1 on loan!! Completely lost the plot

 

Bizarre. Why not just put Alnwick in or a kid?

 

Did he mention them being special human beings?

 

All these signings - Spackmanesque.

 

Steele conceded 5 on saturday, pollitt concedes 5 today, so who plays on Saturday? David James anyone?

 

It's not like this Pollitt was any good. Sooo slow off his line one time, didn't hold on to anything. I could understand if we had signed the 40yr old Brad Friedel but this is ridiculous. It's humiliating for Luke Steele and IMO Flicker's done it deliberately for that very purpose. Flicker clearly doesn't rate him, in fact he nearly got shut this summer.

Manager's are all the same, they want THEIR players playing not someone else's leftovers. It's surely one of the reasons Bobby doesn't get a game either.

I'm just confused by the subs on Saturday that were very strange, the subs today were very strange, and the signing of pollitt, I think flicker has completely lost the plot

 

The new goalie looks no better than Luke.

Early on he spilled a shot, and fortunately for him Wiseman came in rapidly to clear it. And his kicking wasnn't 100% at all.

Before Luke re-signed Flicker went on at great length about how Alnwick could easily step up to be our number one keeper. And then this?

Personally I have no problem at all with Luke being rested for a League Cup tie. I rate him very highly, much more than a lot of people on here judging by the comments I've read lately, but there's no harm giving him some competition. But surely that competition should come from our reserve 'keeper, not some 41 year old.

Genuine madness.

 

First post match interview I've watched for a long time, stopped watching them under Hill because they iritated me so much. Flickers explanation for bringing in Pollitt and not playing Alnwick just doesn't add up, rest Steele by all means but how he can say Politt is ready to play but Alnwick isn't is just daft, they are both 2nd or in Pollitts case 3rd team choices. As for 'I treat the young ,old, most popular players all the same' , does he ?? As for the interviewer, we've shipped 17 goals and he doesn't mention Bobby Hassell....pathetic.

 

They daren't mention Bobby as he got the kite on when he was mentioned last season
