An absolutely inspirational man. I believe this will be the start of a new era for BFC with the current management in charge.
Fair play to him. Leaves it til the end of the season to get stuff off his chest, and he is bang on. Back him. The fans love him. Who is going to do any better? And whilst we are at it, get the key players signed up now!
Re: Can the club match what he wants going forward ? Bloody hell it make's me want to play for him so proud, what a man
Re: Can the club match what he wants going forward ? No, cos I don't think 'they' like being told how it is.
Re: Can the club match what he wants going forward ? Gunna spend an hour we his dad tonight sez it all Top man.
Re: Can the club match what he wants going forward ? We've been here before with a manager wanting to do more than just stay up. I've still got his letter somewhere.
Re: Can the club match what he wants going forward ? Brought a tear to my eye that. Not only does he work miracles he's a nice man to boot.
Re: Can the club match what he wants going forward ? He threw down the gauntlet to the Board, and fair play to him for that. He's saying what many of us feel about the ambition shown in recent years, and he's proved he can work wonders in the role so the ball is now firmly back in the club's court. We've just had half a season displaying play-off form on a shoestring. Now that we've secured our Championship status, he's demonstrated that we can compete in this division. Let's back him as far as our resources allow.
Re: Can the club match what he wants going forward ? lets hope the board have the same ambition he has. Shown what hes capable of lets hope he does it here and not elsewhere. Don made out he was gonna make an annoucenment after the game, think flicker has other plans
Re: Can the club match what he wants going forward ? The announcement was that he was going to offer the role to Flitcroft on a permanent basis. All well and good, but that should have been a foregone conclusion some weeks ago. Flicker now has a position of strength from which to negotiate and it looks like he's planning to use it, and I don't blame him in the slightest for this. Let's hope we can match his ambitions. I'm sure he's realistic as to what lengths we can go to, but I don't think he's seen us stretch ourselves as yet. Maybe that was with a view to protecting our position in the event of relegation, but we've avoided that as an immediate issue for now.
Re: Can the club match what he wants going forward ? First clause in the contract: 'The manager will have the final say over any player sale in the January transfer window'
Re: Can the club match what he wants going forward ? maybe we could give him what we offered Butcher + assurance that we will keep mellon and scott. The board cant afford to lose this management group, in my opinion if we lose these we have stopped up for nowt
Plus id also say..if PC wants out, to get out, he will still have to invest..nobody wants a club that's on its a*se, which has been proved over the last year . But a club that's on the up, that's going places..that's different...people will want to join, and be associated with the Flitcroft movement... If he's not backed..and we stick to the self imposed austerity measures and he walks away.then they may as well close the doors at the club..cos they wont be forgiven...
