Wonder how much we've got for him so far. It won't be the full million as the deal was in installments dependant on appearances. He's only turned out a dozen times for Palace, but has played three times as many games for five loan clubs which won't count.

    Probably about £2.50

Feel sorry for him - seemed to have a good future ahead of him

Togwell was part of the deal, so we know that we alsogot equivalent to his value. However according to this Palace only wanted 40k when Port Vale were after him.

PORT Vale's hopes of landing Sam Togwell may have decreased following Crystal Palace's failure in the Championship play-offs.

Vale have agreed personal terms with Togwell following his impressive loan spell from Selhurst Park, but hit a stumbling block over the fee - Palace want £40,000, but Vale can only afford £20,000.

Togwell, aged 21, carried off the Vale young player-of-the-year award as chosen by the management, but he is still under contract with Palace, who may give the young midfielder his chance now they will not be promoted.
