I have seen some of the posts on here and there are some good posts. There are also some who are complete dickheads. The fans who watched us a Peterboro will tell you we showed a lot of promise and like flicker said we should have come away with something. People have shouted on here about Wiseman, he dropped him. People on here wanted Daggers in for his effort, he picked him. People wanted Greening out, he dropped him. Flicker tried a new system with 3 central defenders to stop their good attacking formation, and it may be the way forward given practice. He has put his name in the hat, and he knows the players. We should give him a chance and climb off his back until given that chance.
I don't know whether he is good enough for the job full-time, but I honestly would not want to see him sacked. I'd happily have him as an assistant or as a coach. The bloke needs some slack cut, as you say hes changed this around, and stood in today when he didn't really have to.
Formations are a load of balls, we should have battered them today, we need better defenders and we need a new voice shouting at them A new broom sweeps best remember
Formations don't win games, players do. But if you don't have the players for the formation, it's like pissing in the wind. We don't have 2 strong centre halves so it's no surprise we have struggled.
I cannot imagine Flitcroft getting widespread support. Rightly or wrongly. The association with Keith Hill is too much of a barrier. I fear it would be a terrible decision, which would distance fans even further. If Rowing is genuine about wanting to realign with fans, surely he must know this?
He has had his time we are rock bottom of league he is a part of that get your heads out of your arses and smell the roses we need change at joke well now
I think we need a fresh start but if we are to have flitcroft and Mellon it has got to be MM as manager IMO.
Good post, but I would be disappointed if he was appointed...(?) Remarkably different tactics, think that surprised everyone.
OK we changed the personnel, we changed the tactics, we changed the formation but the result stayed the same. We are throwing away points against teams down in the **** with us - that's twelve now in a month. I'm not blaming Flicker but what makes you think he is going to radically change anything? I'll say this, whoever we end up with Keith Hill has a lot to answer for because he has turned us into a abjectly poor side. Short of a miracle I can't see any escape from relegation.
My main worry is that under Hill or Flitcroft we have created chances. Someone reckoned the worst conversion rate in the Championship of 1 in 11 (?). So, whoever comes in is going to have to either create more chances than we have been doing, or be given some money to bring in someone who will put them away.
better smelling the latter rather than the former......although what does smelling roses or coffee have to do with it
We've been looking promising all season, battering sides, passing them off the park and still losing. Nothing changed today - another strong second half after a poor first and conceding the fisrt goal. Hill and Flitcroft have proved them selves to be excellent coaches, their team is producing good football, but as Keef always said "recruitment is key" and they haven't been able to recruit anybody who can put the ball in the net or organsie a defence to stop us conceding. That and a bit of luck and Keef would still be in a job. Flitcroft could do a good job if the luck changed and Cryne gave him a million to recruit a goalscorer. Don't think it will happen...
If he wins games people will love him, unfortunately he has been part of a management team that has pathetically failed at that so I won't be holding my breath that this will happen. Complete fresh start with honeymoon period required.
If he gets it, it will be the worst decision our club have ever made (and there have been some bad ones!)
