"It's not going to be a quick fix. It's going to get a lot worse before it gets better.
"Two years of doing the wrong things are not going to be fixed in two games. I've got two years to turn it around and I'm looking forward to doing that, but it's definitely going to take time.
"I know where we're going to be at the end of the season - we'll be in League Two. There are a lot of hard games coming up but we're certainly prepared for a fight."

haha worse before it gets better! great stuff

I've noticed that he talks in soundbites. Sometimes they get muddled up and come out like a pile of crap in the wrong order.

To think that something has to get worse to get better is absolute poppy ****.

If it gets worse before it gets better then they won't be in L2 next season, he's right though that they will still be there at the end of the season, in the bottom 2 though. He talks a right load of poppycock.

Same old same old on here .........(from some)

As soon as someone leaves the club they suddenly become SHI.TE

Lets have a bit of thought and respect to a guy that worked his socks off while at Barnsley

Flicker does talk some ***** (football managers just do) But the fact we were playing Leeds on Saturday and not Crawley, Stevenage or suchlike was in no small measure due to him.

The man's gone...get over your petty vendettas.

I think you'll find that some of us always thought he talked *****. I will always respect him for our turnaround last season, but glad to see the back of the nonsense he spouts.

All that pseudo-inspirational talk is all well and good when you're winning games, but I think the fans appreciate more straight-talking when things aren't going well.

Wilson has just told it how it is in all the interviews I've seen so far and did last time he was here - not that you actually heard him speak much last time, it was all printed words on the back of the Chron back then!

Said many times on here i will be forever greatfull to flicker for keeping us up last season but it doesn't mean I have to like the bloke or all the ***** he waffles.

flicker is full of crap and boring as ****.

also I would like to point out that he's actually not at our club any more because he did actually become SH.ITE

He'll go down as a legend for what he did last season (in time anyway), but what gets me is:

    - The Mike Pollit scenario
    - The treatment of Ben Alnwick and Luke Steele
    - Selling our only viable left-back and persisting with his mate 'TK'
    - A very capable player being frozen out of the side (Bobby) and continued persistence with Dawson
    - Not fancying giving Lewin Nyatanga a go in a defence leakier than the stricken Titanic

Obviously the last two only become apparent after Saturday, I doubt Nyatanga miraculously became fit enough to play just in time for Saturday.

I do agree, but what he came out with was laughable when we were doing alreight and irritating as **** when we were constantly losing. Same with KHiller.

The product they put on the pitch is what matters though not who is the most eloquent speaker, cos we get naff all points for it.

Good job you stressed the 'if' there cos if that happened he truly would be a miracle worker. That would promotion for Bury from being bottom 2 at Christmas. As things stand there is a much bigger chance of them being non league next season then playing Barnsley

When Flicker wins games, what he says is like poetry. When he loses, it's bullsh*t.

I'm starting to think that last season, despite him working his socks off, he got lucky. I'm more than glad he did though and he still goes down as a legend for me!
