I wonder if they expected Flicker to walk and not have to pay him compo and they didnt think in a million years he'd accept
Doesnt make sense !! He did the coaching and it wasn't working so why give him the top job. Perhaps he should get someone in to help him with the coaching. Mark Burton a local lad and doing a good job with the academey, worth a go ???
Somebody has to do it good luck to him the Rochdale fans think he was the man behind there success Danny Wilson dint do a bad job did he
If he was the man behind the success at Rochdale then surely he is the man behind the failure at Barnsley. It makes no sense to suggest that he was pulling the strings at Rochdale but suddenly became a yes man when they moved here.
Trouble is he'll probably have the "caretaker manager effect" that we've seen quite often, he'll get the team to scrape a few wins and then be offered the job before things go sour again. If him and Hill were so in tune with eachother then surely he won't have the team playing any different, it's been mainly him barking the instructions to players for the last few games so it's quite possible that he's even taken the lead of the last few weeks after Hill ran out of ideas. We can't risk having no-one in charge for the next game though so I'm sure this is a very temporary arrangement. Apparently the club have received over 20 applications for the job, hopefully at least a few of them are experienced managers.
Yes, but doing what the manager wanted him to, dont think all decisions would be agreed upon but Keith had the final say. Many No 2`s manage different to their bosses when they get the opportunity. Flitcroft will give us a bit of continuity with the players for the next game at least. Lets see who and how he lines up at Peterbro. Buying time thats all this decision is IMO.
i could be wrong it's mi age but did'nt he say a wiseman was the best centre half in the championshio
