    As reported in the chron.

Well my take on things is they best plan for very low season ticket sales if they dont appoint him - no matter what league we are in.

He has done a cracking job with ZERO money. The directors have not let him go out and sign anyone with the stones money and the injury list has been shocking. To do as well as he has is testament to his management.

Dont f.uk this one up rowing for chuffs sake.

    totally agree with you here

Flitcroft is our biggest jewel in the crown right now, never mind the players. We need to keep Flicker above all other priorities.

Ultimatley the decision isnt Don Rowings its the board of directors, so dont blame don blame the likes of Taylor and Cryne if they choose not to offer Flicker the job.

    on the other hand though

If he is out of contract at the end of the season there are plenty of other clubs who would probably gladly have him.

It's obviously quite clear that the club haven't offered Flicker an extension to his contract as of yet but I wouldn't read too much into this statement or panic about it. Flicker has to say that and the club are simply keeping their options open until the summer. For me it's a bit of a no-brainer to keep him on and I'm sure the board feel the same. The performances and results have been much improved and it looks as though we're going to finish on an impressive points tally even if we do go down. No disrespect to Flicker here but I also reckon his services would be much cheaper than some of the big names being touted about following Hill's departure.

He deserves another season at least, regardless of the division we are in.

To be fair to Don and the board, we sold Stones on the very last day of the transfer window. It wasn't a case of not letting Flicker have any of the money, there was simply no time for him to go out and buy anyone. If we stay up I'm sure he'll be allowed to sign a few players with that money. If we go down it'll go some way to offset the loss in revenue and allow us to keep a few more players than we would otherwise have been able.

Let's be reight here, the board aren't pocketing the money, it's gone in to BFC's bank account and will be used at a later date.

Words have been twisted a bit I think.

Saw the interview with him last noght on Look North.

He says he believes he has to keep us up to keep his job.

I think the Don will want to keep Flicker regardless.

agreed jay and Flicker did say the board would let him have money for players but the players Flicker wanted didnt want to come to us.

Yes these were loans but we were never going to sign anyone permanent when we dont know what league we will be in next season.

Flicker will be offered a new contract, but the salary and term will depend on which league we are in. That is why he hasn't got one yet.

To be fair to the Don!? Did he or did he not publicly state that we would not be doing any last minute deals in the transfer window like previous years as it gave us no tine to recruit replacements!??? So what happens... We sell our right back and hottest prospect in the final hour for a measly 3m.

    I rest my case.

They say whatever they want to appease the fans at the time.

No more release clauses... Oops davies has a 300k release clause.
