This season Flitcroft has sadly proved he doesn't have enough tactical knowledge. Playing a 3-5-2 formation with no attacking midfielder is completely ineffective imo because there is no link between the strikers except a long ball ( which gets too predictable ) and the support of a wing back or good run or pass from a center midfielder, which Etuhu,Dawson and Perkins will rarely provide this. But if Flitcroft says we want to sit back and soak the pressure why are our opponents finding it so easy to find a way through our midfield three so easily and our defense is all over the place? whether its because our players don't have the position sense or Flitcroft isn't instructing the players defensive duties properly, its obviously not working at all and never will. A great motivator and he may develop a better tactical understanding but we cant have him at this level :frown:
We're not even playing 3-5-2. We did against Huddersfield and it was fine, we've then ditched it since.
Not saying I agree with him but once again someone is being slated for having the gall to be critical.
