A decision will be made on Gardner on Monday/Tuesday.

    He wants to keep Tunnicliffe.

He's closing in on a couple of experienced Championship players, expects something to give in the next 10 days.

And he thinks Sheffield is a shithole.

    I'm really not bothered.

We've got plenty of players. If Gardner signs, we've a plethora of options in defence.

And let's be fair, the 9 wins in 14 under Flitcroft have come about with 95% of the players currently fit and available.

The 5% being Stones and Goldborne

Watford will be more clinical than Brighton. Then its onto Hillsborough. Hmmmm.....

Re: The 5% being Stones and Goldborne

We've won plenty without Stones, and twice since Golbourne's been out.

Watford are capable of going to school on us, no doubt. But we're a threat in front of goal these days and that for me is the reason we've improved under Flitcroft.

As for Wednesday, they're gash. I'm thinking about how many we'll score rather than if we'll win.

They lost at home to Blackpool last week so they aren't that good. No outstanding teams this season and I include Cardiff in that. Nowt to fear

Flit croft also said that some fans on the Internet base are being pessimistic against the team re Manchester game. We were playing against a 5 million pound set up. So lads and lasses it shows that this site is looked at by Barnsley fc. We can make opinions yes but not the sort that degrades our team and manager, when we lose take it and move on as we need all the backing the lads can get. See you on Saturday we all need to be there

Re: '..closing in on a couple of experienced Championship players..'

I honestly don't remember any posts that denigrated the team or Flicker after the City game. There were several posts stating how they thought some players didn’t turn up or were overawed by the occasion, there was constructive criticism but considering how badly we were beaten I thought the posts were quite fair, balanced and moderate.

Mario.....your right.......very little criticism, more disappointment.

Thought there was absolute realism from BBS that we played the mega-money champions who were on top form.

Goes to show that if BFC do read this, some clearly find it difficult to differentiate between constructive debate and criticism.

Re: '..closing in on a couple of experienced Championship players..'

The point I was making is that when the remarks are derogatory then they are read by the team and manager. They can take opinions but not daft crude remarks. I posted on here last week that Web site was crap and we still had Hill as manager. It was changed in two days. There were one or two posts that were bad but I am not going back to check them just to say you are being heard

This is a fans forum and a place where people come to vent their frustrations and get things off their chests, It is also a place that people come on and wax lyrically about Flicker and the players, but funnily enough no-one from the club fecking moans and snipes about that do they ?

I'll admit to saying a few things in anger/disappointment. But rather here, than at the match, eh?

But as I said in my blog yesterday, I'm a happy clapper til May.

Why would the Club moan about fans being positive?
