Up to 30 miles per week and today I ran 15 miles. I've never run that distance before, and the thought of having to run another 11 miles on top of thatcome marathon day is laughable. Anyway, I just wanted to say a big thanks all you good folk that sponsored me so far. It's a cliche but every penny helps and it's also a huge incentive for me to carry on so thanks again everyone, I've honestly been touched by the response.
By the way, I haven't lost a pound in weight. Unbelievable innit? I am a medical anomaly, and a fat one at that. I'm now considering a self imposed booze ban between now and race day. Just considering it like at this stage.
Thanks again good folks of the BBS.

Don't worry about the lack of weight loss - you're probably replacing fat with muscle!?* With the gradual lengthening of your training runs, you'll not notice the extra miles through to the magic 26. Honestly.
Cheers - I took your advice and did some hill work last week. What a laugh that was, I nearly threw up it was that enjoyable. Still looking for some 'gain' from all this 'pain' though ;-)
There's a point when it stops hurting and you start 'enjoying' and then you'll get into a bit of a zone. It may be a few weeks off yet though. I've done loads of mara training programmes and even now its the same for me. I did some hill and speed sessions end of last week and 17 on Sunday. Legs hurt today. All be worth it when you hear 'the' music at the Start and then just a tad later when you come round the corner by Buck House. Your sponsorship efforts are truly fantastic btw, well done. My £26.20 = a pound a mile is on its way.
Keep at it AIRTyke. I hit 55 miles last week with my 18 mile run in 1hr 59mins. Hoping to beat the magical 3 hour target again. By the way muscle weighs more than fat!
Whaaaaaaat? That's like 6.5 minute miling???? It took me 2hrs 32mins to run 15 miles today so I didn't even manage 10mins/mile! Hehe .... so crap. I just hope you're either very young or on drugs.
I've got our "slave for the day" day all mapped out, although I think we should switch roles midday, bit like Wife Swap!
Don't worry about mins/mile at this stage, time on feet is much more important and you're doing just fine, not crap. I hope he's very young personally.
