When I was a kid I would pull the wings off, then collect them up on to a plate and put them in the microwave on full. This seemed a pretty effective way of killing them. Hope this helps.

if they are brown, you need to ring up the council pest control unit ASAP. They are especially deadly and eat the live flesh of old people.

I assume this behaviour corrected itself over time, or are you now a serial killer?

No Dahmer-esque manisfestations in adulthood luckily. Anyway, my brother was far worse. He used to catch bees, pull the wings off and then once he had 5 or 6, pile them up in the garden and set fire to them. He is however still yet to commit his first homicide as far as I'm aware. Although I know that Andy D'Urso was possibly not far off.

Find the nest if it's indoors. Stick the poky bit from your hoover on and suck em out.

Buy all the ant poison you can and kill them. We had them once and it is no joke. Boil the kettle and pour it on them outside. They come out in the evenings if you dance about on the ground.

spray stuff round your door frames. We have that stuff in tubes and put it in up turned margarine pots ( cut a little doorway, put lid back on an write McDonalds above doorway and they come running in for the poison )

Who is normally in charge of the ant removal operation?

It must be a dangerous job when the ants are almost as tall as you

RE: Who is normally in charge of the ant removal operation?

We send Ronni Jamal out after tea to stamp on them. She shouts 'Gotya you b******* Morgan' then ' and you Blackwell' and it gets rid of her pent up anger for a while.

You have to keep them out of the chocolate cupboard.
