FM 2009 help needed.

    Son bought game loaded straight away ,loaded steam into pc.What is this steam?Does it need it to work.Had loads of problems since.Are there any alternatives?TIA

    Steam is content delivery. Basically, you can purchase games using it without the need for boxes, manuals, CD keys etc...The game is loaded onto the Steam servers and is readily available from your desktop.

    I didn't use Steam. There was an alternative when installing the game but wouldn't know if you can uninstall the steam thingy whatever it is, and reinstalling using my method. I had read the forums about the amount of people having trouble with steam so I decided to do it without. I have had no problems so far.
