Got sacked last night! Had a run at back end of season of about 8 games without a win including 2 defeats in UEFA 1/4 final and defeat in FA Cup semi. I actually got sacked because I disciplined a player who was sent off! Board said that my "poor relations with the players was causing the team to underachieve" Happened with 2 games remaining in season and club in 8th in Premier. Ironically I got offered the job at West Brom, who I played in my last game as Barnsley manager! Can't decide whether to continue with this game now as West Brom manager or scrap it and start a new game in the Spanish league.
you must have disciplined your players often to get the sack for it. i do if they have been sent off for something stupid. id probably scrap it, i loose interest if i have to start with another club id rather start a fresh game with a new club. unless im working my way up to bigger clubs.
Play as West Brown then you can bounce up and down in your seat....... if you are winning and shout "Boing boing!!"
Gone to Spain Same game - resigned from West Brom and took Deportivo La Coruna job. Got transfer budget of £35m as well - first signing a quality young German midfielder from Bayern for £6.5m, then knicked the young Spanish goalie from Barnsley. Depor! Depor! Can't wait to get stuck into it. A couple of strange rules though I have to get used to - can only have 3 non-EU players in squad...strange as the club had about 9 but you have to name the squad for season and they others can be used for Europe. Also, all players have to have a minimum fee release clause.
