Ok be honest now - who has got Barnsley relegated in the first season of the game, or maybe looking like relegation? Please be honest.
What are your other experiences - promotion mid-table etc? Dont want any clues as to who to sign, I prefer to make my own mind up on who to buy - much more rewarding that way.
I am just about to start a new game in charge of the super reds!

I Finished 19th Was Top After 1st 10 Games Then Lost Next 18 In A Row, Looked Like Going Down But A Few Wins And A Few Draws Kept Me Up
RE: I Finished 19th Well survived mate - 18 defeats on the trot is a terrible run. And to survive from that - WELL DONE

how many league do you have,ie french league ,german league etc.Is it true the more leagues there is the slower the game process is?
Yes..........the more leagues there are, the more games have to be simulated etc, therefore the game updates will be slower.
Same applies on FM05 I'm still running FM05 (my PC not up to FM07!)....just wom Premier League and Champions League with Arsenal. Packed that in and starting a "fictional" league with a database my mate set up.
Did well in first season In playoffs for most of it, but a poor run towards end of the season saw me finish 8th, 2nd season was a disaster, finished bottom with only 3 wins to my name, got the sack and now I'm upper-mid table with Morecambe. Mick McCarthy took over at Barnsley and practically the whole squad was cleared out. Says something about the quality of it!
Just to update a little..... Although with a media prediction of 22nd, and a chairman and supporters who would be delighted to just avoid the drop, im understandably brickin' it for the coming season. Had a decent, if unimpressive, pre-season winning every game against lowly opposition (L2 and below). Last night just before bed I managed to get one game into the season, at home against Stoke. Stoke had just paid around a million on one player, and he is worth more than my whole starting XI put together (my most expensive player being Nardiello at £130k). Had a good start to the game after 19mins when their keeper Simonsen charged out of his area and through trying to be flashy got robbed of the ball 25 yards out by Hayes, who scored into the emprty net. Went on to get 2 more goals and won 3-0 - and top of the league. Great start, yes. I cannot see it continuing though. Even after an impressive performance like that, I still reckon I shall be closer to the relegation zone than the promotion slots come the end of the season. I stand by the fact of survival is key for me this year.
