when team hillcroft came down to oakwell the season didn't set off so well, up the league we began to move and performances started to improve as the players are starting to gel.
Hillflicker they came here for fame Early showings, God they were lame Hill spouted some ****e but now he's alright Cos Jimbo is back on his game.
Chasing a target of four hundred and four With our wickets tumbling more and more Ninety two all out we proceeded again following on to that Houghton Main Yet falling short by a gross and a score.
We started the season with hopes high but after the first 3 home games, oh my but we needn't have feared Coz a guy with a beard is helping to make the team fly
After just 3 league games, "GET EM OUT!" some pleaded.. But most of us knew, that patience was needed.. The product on show, its been a joy to behold.. And on tuesday night, I felt warm not cold.. Warmed by the ambience, the atmosphere at Oakwell.. Things are progressing, until Butterfield we do sell! ;D
Good until you mentioned something about an atmospere at Oakwell, whats that like? I'll have a go at another one later.
A six line limerick.... That's original!!! Whiteys natural verbosity even extends to 5 line rhyming stanza's
Re: A six line limerick.... the people in charge at oakwell said the crowds they wanted to swell but the seeds they were sowing couldn't get the fans going now the best players they're having to sell
There once was a team from Oakwell And tickets they did try to sell (kind of) But with a financial crises And extortionate prices The people they said “go to hell!” Now the other teams the reds started beating And they didn’t have to resort to cheating But what do you do When a ticket or two Means a family of 4 are not eating. Don't want to see how we are by watching sky sports in some shltty bar I want to go to watch the reds in a show But I'll have to cheer them on from a far . . . .(except when I go).
Re: A six line limerick.... from elland road there came a loud din you,d think thats because of a leeds win but this you'd be wrong to assume just you witness the gloom and the wobbling from ken bates's chin
Re: A six line limerick.... Due to the price of this game I did miss and the result has ensured a feeling of justice Coz our red and white gems stuck it right up 'em And I'm now in the goods books with the Mrs
