I know Tina. Very smart, very intelligent, lovely woman.........she loves Barnsley Football Club. And she was a main stay on this message board when it first started. ............Who now doesn't post on this message board because of all the abuse that's thrown in the direction of her or in the direction of others. Yes Fired, we need to have more women to post on here but they arnt going to when you get guys throwing abuse about. How many times do you see childish playground posts on here from guys that can do nothing but call each other names.........e.g. like 'nob head', lovely person..........etc etc etc....... That's the reason Tina gave to me why she doesn't post now........and I would suspect that's why other lasses such as Calgary Tyke don't post either
Totally agree. I know both of them, and I know why they stopped posting. I don't think those reasons are exclusive to women though. I think they are also valid for several men who used to post and have now left. I think when people behave in a way that makes you feel it's not worth the aggro, then the sensible step is to take that out of your life. I've felt that way several times. I'm hoping Tina (and the others) will come back. This place needs some variety, some humour and different perspective.
