Chelsea are set to pay £115million, yes 115million, for a player who only established himself as a first team player in Argentina 18 months ago, and who has only played just over a hundred professional games.

A player who was bought only 6 months ago for under £10million.

Ok, he’s a very good player, who won the award for best young player of the World Cup. But has his worth really increased by 1200% in six months?

This is the same Chelsea who had already spent £200million THIS MONTH - but have given them all contracts of seven or eight years, meaning within ffp they can spread the payments out over that amount of time and look like they aren’t cheating…

Hope they continue to struggle. Obscene the money they’re chucking around.

Harry Souttar 15m as Well from Stoke.
Shows how we sold for peanuts in the past. That much money sloshing about in the prem it's crazy really when you consider the cost of living concerns for most of the country.

Government missing an easy win here. tax 5% on any transfer fees over 10m..
