    As much as these petitions may seem like having power to force debates, this government has wilfully shortened debate, or just stood up and said a debate will take place at another time or its already been debated.

    I'm also not comfortable having my views and opinions tagged to the rest of the data the government hold on me under this administration.

    I think he'll go for this one, its populist so it will help him push the narrative (false) that they're all about the common man. Plus it costs him nowt.

    I agree with petitions but ultimately signatures in favour of a certain course don't provide the how and why something will change. Basically no different to a vote on a referendum.
    Will the British people be more invested in the fine details in relation to football reform, compared to the discussions about leaving our biggest trading partner,?
