    Barnsley striker Michael Coulson has signed a one-year contract extension which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2010.

    The 21-year-old, who joined from Scarborough in 2006, has scored two goals in 25 appearances during his time at Oakwell.

    But Coulson has struggled with fitness during his time with the Reds, suffering two cruciate knee injuries.

    He is expected to return to first-team action in August 2009.

    fecked if I know what it is apart from fragility.

    I think BFC have treated him remarkably well.

    Get him out on loan for a month to get some games....

    Then lets see what he can bring to the Side...

    Hope he's as good as what the back room staff must think he is!!!

    The only time I've ever seen anything good in him was against Blackpool in the FA Cup. Came on and changed the game, and scored.

    He has only signed him for a season. He will not be on fantastic money. He is only just 21 years old.
    Let's hope he can get fit and show what he can do. Give him a chance before "we" start slaughtering him!
