Paris St Germain. Played 14. Won 14. Top of the league by a clear 15 points already. What on earth is the point? Their massive monetary advantage has ruined any element if competition.

Juve in Serie A, Bayern in the Bundesliga, PSG in France, Barca and Real Madrid in Spain, there's dominance all around Europe which is a shame. For all it's critics at least our Premier League is quite competitive most seasons.

Paris St Germain are a strange entity though, they've effectively ditched their traditions and evolved the club into a new corporate monster. The Parc de Princes was once one of the most atmospheric grounds in Europe, with both the 'Kop' ends signing back and forth. Whilst the club under-achieved, the fans were immense. But partly due to infighting between ultra groups and a desire to gentrify the Parc, the club banned their loyal ultras and went after a new customer base. Only recently have ultras been allowed back in the ground but nothing like what it used to be. They will walk to success domestically every year but when even their own fans are partly alienated from the club, you have to wonder how sustainable their model will prove to be.

Guess whose shirts the kids are wearing in Burgundy these days. The ones I know anyway, even those with no link to Paris. Money talks and PSG’s money is talking loudest. Love Barnsley hate football.

Just been to see Bayern Munich v Dusseldorf (Our team) We were in the wheelchair section in the corner above those wearing the T advertising.and I can safely say the most noise was coming from the Dusseldorf fans....stuck right up out of the way like Newcastle do. Lots of flag waving but not much noise from bayern......loved our last minute equaliser.....smashed my knuckles on the overhang above us.jumpimg up....by eck they still sting....everything else is just so corporate......claim they sell out every game but plenty òf empty seats.

They get all the advertising etc and screw all the smaller clubs...remind you of owt ?
