hope you don't mind a Bristol City fan coming on your boards with some local info Be prepared to be searched by the stewards. no booze is sold inside the ground regarding the food outlet in the ground its crap, staffed by agency staff whose purpose is to do as little as possible KFC can be seen from the away end(two minutes walk, honest) and sainsburys store is five minutes with restaurant Firstly hope as many of as possible can make the trip to Bristol. If you can buy yer tickets in advance you can get the discounts If you want to buy your tickets in advance please don't ring the Bristol City premium rate phone number. The club charges for credit card bookings and also charges a pound if you want the tickets sent to your home best advice is send a cheque for the amount and pick up tickets on the day If you are one of those fans who like to keep ticket stubs of your away games no ticket stubs are issued at the turnstiles either book the tickets in advance as suggested or purchase from the Bristol city ticket office on the day If you are bringing young ones to the game and they still "look young" speak to the chief steward before handing over money No "unkind" comments please If you are coming by road use M5 southbound to junction 18(avonmouth) then follow signs A4 bristol airport It looks the long way round but traffic in central Bristol is awfull If you are coming by train thier is a local service to parson street which will take you two thirds of the way to the ground departure time from Bristol temple meads XX:50 past the hour public transport to the ground is not a lot of cop The ground is designated not smoking, but thier always seems to be a lot of *** ends between the toilet block and the catering block!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bristol City produce a match day DVD of all home games with full commentry cost twelve quid, not sure of the postal charges Casualty and Hobly City are filmed in the City don't ask me about either of the programmes cos I think thier both crap Finally the block of flats on the right hand side as you are in the away end is "the" block of flats in "fools and horses" The market scene where the footballers manaquins are cut into the wall are at the away end of the ground in the club car park Bring yer camera and turn up early if you wanna take any photo's If you want or need any further local info please don't be afraid to ask. See you all on saturday 22nd december
Thanks for that. What's the best pub to sup in? We used to use The Robin, but I gather it's home supporters only.
Have you put seat backs on the away end seats yet? Cheers for your post- looking forward to next weekend. We're having a night out on Whiteladys afterwards

PS, if you can recommend some pubs let us know
Like how far up whiteladys shall we start- further up than the bermuda triangle or is that about right?

Sorry lads(and lasses) still no backs on the seats If your gonna use Whiteladies road strt at the top(its called blackboy hill) I have never heard of it called the bermuda triangle unless thats the name of a new pub Coming from the peasant side of town I'm not allowed in the posh areas like whiteladies road If you start from the top of the steep climb of the hill(down wards) it ain't so bad What other local info do you wanna know
I think the best pubs are the ones on Cumberland road near the spaghetti type motorway complex then walk over the spaghetti type motorway complex to the ground
Cheers
I used to go out with a lass from Brizzle, the Burmuda triangle is the area quite close to the Uni where the road goes round some buildings and pubs. I might be wrong but i think its where the nightclub is where that lad got tragically killed other year by that bouncer. Thought it was a local term, maybe its just used by some areas.

I know that area quite well but its been a 3 years since I was up there. Is Henry J Beans still open? Was always a good laugh in there

Been there, done it, got the **** tshirt
Oh aye, I'm quite proud of my UK knowledge. It kind of helps when you go to nearly all the away games.
If ever anyone needs a drink in any given town, city or village, I'm your man
