Always goes for spectacular when he doesnt need to, thats the only thing I can fault him on...

Need a creative midfielder who can create goals for Conlon and Hayes.

How many times have you seen Conlon have a attempt on goal this season?

Exactly, he's never in the area to score

And for a centre forward of his size he couldn't ask for a better chance than the cross that was put on his head against Doncaster, but he missed it.

Conlon is alright. He works hard and he holds the ball up well, but it doesn't matter who we've got in midfield because Conlon isn't good enough to score many goals at this level.

Maybe if we had a midfielder who can create chances for Bazza we would see him having more attempts and goals?

That header that he missed against Donny really made my mind up.
He's in the team as a target man and to win/score headers.

    Missing that header was appauling

What I'm saying is that he plays too deep

So it doen't matter how skillful our midfield are he's never in the box to convert a chance. And if he can't score that one against Donny...

We've had Conlon well over a year now. He's big bustling centre forward. How many goals has he scored for us with his head? I've seen Nardiello score a few with his head. And Reid. And Vaughan. You can't continue to blame the rest of the team for his inadequacies.

The problem lies in the aerodynamics of the cranium.

    Same thing that affected Sheron.

That and being a bit sh*te...

When Conlon plays we play too much long ball,if he doesnt win it our play breaks down if we played Nardiello with the impressive Paul Hayes we would play more ball to feet and look far more threatening thats if Nardiello wants it bad enough.

It was a bad miss, but Strikers arent expected to score with every chance they have.

Hayes missed a much worse sitter against MK Dons which cost us 2 points...

Conlon is told to do a job, and he does it well IMO

He does get in the area, but our crossing is shocking
