Bonjour, Mounir El Haimour Selon les statistiques vous avez débuté votre carrière à Châtellerault en France, transité par la 2ème ligue interrégionale, pour atterrir en 03/04 à Yverdon. Passer de 4e division française en Challenge Ligue en une année est une jolie progression. Comment s’est passé cette première transition pour un club professionnel ? Effectivement c’était assez difficile au niveau des entrainements car on s’entrainait plus intensément en Challenge League qu’en deuxième ligue inter. Mais j’ai eu la chance de m’entrainer très régulièrement avec le groupe professionnel d’Yverdon sport, et notamment avec un entraîneur qui m’a allégé les entraînements pour que je n’aie pas de blessure. Après une saison et demie à Yverdon vous êtes parti pour Wladikawkaz en 1ère division russe. Pourquoi ce choix ? Disons que quand on m’a proposé d’aller en Russie, je n’étais pas très chaud mais lorsque l’on m’a dit que l’entraîneur était Rolland Courbis, un nom très très reconnu dans le football européen et francais, alors je n’ai pas hésité. Et puis c’était une belle opportunité et une très belle histoire à vivre. Nos lecteurs l'ignorent sans doute, Vladikavkaz est une ville de 300'000 habitants tout au sud de la Russie à mi-chemin entre la Géorgie et la Tchétchénie, et également à quelques kilomètres à peine de Beslan. Vous êtes arrivés dans la région quelques mois à peine après la tragédie que l'on sait, la crainte d'attentats était encore palpable à votre arrivée ? Petite rectification, quand je suis arrivé c’était en pleine période des attentats, donc c’est vrai que c’était une période assez difficile, notamment la rivalité entre les musulmans, donc les Tchétchènes, et la population russe. Mais j’ai été très bien encadré, personnellement c’est une histoire qui m’a fait peur, on s’entraînait en entendant les coups de fusils, je n’ai jamais vécu ça de ma vie. Mais en tout cas je garde une très très belle image de cette ville là et les gens était très chaleureux. Ce qui s’est passé est très tragique, notamment pour nous car on était le club phare, et lors des attentats on a dû obligatoirement se rendre à l’école de Beslan voir les 500 cadavres de jeunes enfants âgés de moins de 12 ans. C’est vraiment une tragédie, cela m’a vraiment choqué. Qu'est-ce qui vous a marqué le plus dans cette expérience dans le Caucase ? Footballistiquement cela m’a permis de connaître des grands joueurs, des noms réputés dans le football mondial, et de jouer dans des terrains vraiment magnifiques, par exemple celui du Locomotiv, ou de jouer contre une équipe comme le CSK Moscou qui fait la Champion’s League. Tout ça c’est très intéressant, footballistiquement parlant. Les médias rapportent depuis quelques années un regain de sentiments racistes en Russie, c'est quelque chose que vous avez ressenti ? Moi j’ai eu la chance de me trouver à la frontière tchétchène, donc de ce côté là non, j’ai eu la chance d’être accueilli comme une personne qui a vécu là-bas. Les gens étaient très proches de moi, et comme j’étais très sympathique, ils me l’ont redonné également. Mais il est vrai que du côté de Moscou le racisme se fait de plus en plus entendre. Durant la saison 05/06, vous effectuez votre retour en Suisse et vos débuts en Axpo Super League à nouveau sous le maillot d'Yverdon-Sport. Malheureusement tant cette année là que la suivante, vous serez relégué en fin de saison. Rassurez-nous, cette année vous allez « vaincre le signe indien » ? J’espère bien ! En tout cas je le souhaite vu le niveau des joueurs qu’il y a à Neuchâtel Xamax. Avec l’ambition et la motivation que l’on a, je pense que l’on va faire quelque chose de très bien cette année et cela va mettre fin à mes deux descentes en challenge league. Y’a-t-il aujourd’hui à Xamax des personnes que vous avez côtoyées durant ces années passées à Yverdon ? Oui, il y a Pascal Jenny, il y a également Christophe Jacquet qui est actuellement blessé. Et je connaissais et côtoyais d’autres joueurs, comme Everson et Chihab, contre qui j’avais déjà joué. Et mon intégration s’est très bien passée. Quels sont vos objectifs personnels pour cette saison ? Mon objectif est de rester en Axpo super league avec Neuchâtel Xamax, faire une très bonne saison. On a une grosse attente au niveau du public ainsi qu’au niveau des joueurs, donc je pense que l’on a tout à prouver. Il faut continuer dans cette voie là, travailler, et une fois cela paiera.

Gérard Castella a dit de vous que le gazon synthétique allait particulièrement bien avec votre style de jeu, pouvez-vous nous parler de votre style ainsi que votre place de prédilection ? Disons que ma place évolue selon les années. A Yverdon je jouais en milieu droit, ensuite je suis redescendu en défense, poste où je joue actuellement. C’est vrai que le gazon synthétique est une surface plus technique, donc cela me facilite vu que j’ai un jeu assez rapide. Sur le terrain, quels sont vos points forts ? Personnellement je dirais que c’est la vitesse, elle est selon moi au dessus de la moyenne, C’est donc ce qui fait mon point fort actuellement. Et ceux qu'il faudrait améliorer ? J’ai énormément à apprendre au niveau tactique défensivement parce que, à la base, je ne suis pas un défenseur de souche. Ce que j’espère et compte faire est donc de travailler cet aspect tactique avec l’entraîneur, ainsi qu’avec tout le groupe pour finaliser tout ça et pour m’imposer également dans cette équipe. Que pensez-vous du jeu proposé par Neuchâtel Xamax après ces quelques premiers matches de championnat (ndlr : interview réalisée le 1er Août 2007) ? Cela fait très plaisir de voir la façon dont ou joue, on se créé énormement d’automatismes autant bien offensivement que défensivement, on est bien placé tactiquement. Je pense que c’est joli à voir, notamment du point de vue des supporters, dont j’ai entendu quelques échos qui étaient positifs. A côté du foot, quels sont vos hobbies et intérêts ? J’aime bien me balader un peu seul, car actuellement je suis seul. Sinon un peu internet, et pourquoi pas les consoles de jeu, mais rien de plus. Etant de nationalité française (tout comme marocaine), votre rêve est-il de fouler un jour les pelouses de ligue 1 ? Oui bon vous savez, je vais sur ma 27ème année, le marché du football est maintenant encore plus jeune, c'est-à-dire 18 ans. Oui, ce serait un rêve, mais il ne faut pas se voiler la face non plus, j’ai 27 ans, ma marge de progression est encore énorme, vu que je n’ai pas fréquenté de centre de formation, mais je ne me fixe pas dessus, j’ai 2 ans de contrat à Xamax, et j’espère progresser et tout donner pour ce club qui m’a tout donné en échange. Pour terminer, un dernier message à adresser aux supporters neuchâtelois ? Ecoutez, à première vue, je trouve que c’est un public très impressionnant, de part la qualité et la quantité également. Which are your personal objectives for this season? 

My objective is to remain in great Axpo league with Neuchâtel Xamax, do a very good season. Gérard Castella said of you that the synthetic lawn went particularly well with your game style, you can talk about us your style as well as your place of predilection? 

Let us say that my place evolves according to the years. To Yverdon I played in straight environment, next I am taken back down in defense, posts where I play currently. It is true that the synthetic lawn is a more technical surface, therefore that facilitates me seen that I have a game rather quick. 

In the field, which are your strong points? 

Personally I would say that this is speed, she is according to me above the average, THIS IS therefore which does my strong point currently. 

And those that it would be necessary to improve? 

I have enormously to learn at the tactical level defensively because, to the basis, I am not a defender of stump. Which I hope and counts to do is therefore to work this tactical aspect with the trainer, as well as with the whole group to finalize all that and to impose me equally in this team. 

What do you think about the game proposed by Neuchâtel Xamax after these some first matches of championship (editor's note: realized interview the 1st August 2007)?

Yes good you know, I go on my 27th year, the soccer market is now even younger, c'est-à-dire 18 years.
